ハイクラスのビジネスマンの会議がなぜ早いのかを説明してもらった事がありますが、それは彼らがMBAを取得する段階、または実際の現場で、徹底的に言葉の定義を頭に叩き込むからだそうです。だから、彼らが大義と言えば誰から見ても大義以外の何物でもなく、余計な議論は必要なくなる。それで会議が早いのだそうです。反対に言うと、曖昧な表現は一切使わない。だから、会議で戦うレベルの英語が実は一番シンプルで、早く覚えられるよと言われた事があります。
